Firmware upgrade

Firmware can be upgraded for each unit via the PowerCage Conﬁguration port using the

Extron Firmware Loader utility from the Windows-based control program.

NOTES: • Firmware can be upgraded through the PowerCage Conguration port only.

• When rmware upgrades are available, they are unique to the unit:

• A unique transmitter ﬁrmware upgrade for the Tx unit

• A unique receiver ﬁrmware upgrade for the Rx unit.

• Your PC must be connected directly to the unit for the ﬁrmware to be updated.

Downloading the ﬁrmware from the website

To obtain the latest version of ﬁrmware for your PowerCage FOX unit:

1. Visit the Extron website, www.extron.com, click the Download tab, and then click the

Firmware link on the left sidebar menu (see ﬁgure 19).

2. On the Download Center screen (see ﬁgure 20), click the links for the appropriate

ﬁrmware ﬁle or ﬁles.

NOTE: There are different les for transmitters (Txs) and receivers (Rxs) and for VGA

and DVI units.
