PRELIMINARY

Resetting the MLC and restoring its conﬁ guration

After a ﬁ rmware update you must reset the unit. Resetting the MLC also removes

conﬁ guration information, so replace the MLC’s conﬁ guration after resetting.

1. Perform a ZY reset, which is an absolute system reset excluding IP settings (IP

address, subnet mask, gateway IP address, unit name, DHCP settings, port

mapping). This allows you to maintain communication with the MLC.

• If using Telnet or HyperTerminal, enter

• If using a Web brower connection, enter W ZY

This command is supported by MLCs with ﬁ rmware of version 1.03 or higher.

2. Using Global Conﬁ gurator, restore (build) the previously saved project to the

MLC.
